RENEWAL OF MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTION WITH THE ASSOCIATION

The Secretariat has sent a Reminder–I to those Members whose Membership Subscriptions were on Arrears on July 1, 2021. Members were advised that they can avail the Benefit of Renewing the Membership Subscription for 1 / 3 / or 5 years.

We give below a Table for 1/3 or 5 Year Membership Fees for the Information of Members.

Members who have already Renewed their Membership may please ignore this.

REPRESENTATIONS

The Association has sent its view on July 20, 2021 to the Textile Commissioner, Ministry of Textiles, Govt of India, regarding a query on the likely impact of the proposed ban on Cotton from the Xinjiang Region of China.

The Association sent a Representation to Govt of Telangana on July 26, 2021 regarding Revision of Minimum Wages in the State of Telangana and urged the Govt to kindly look in to this issue, which is serious in nature and Garment Industry cannot afford any steep Increase in the Minimum Wages unmindful of the reality.

CIRCULARS

Cir No. 34 / M-3 /2021 dated July 9, 2021 sent by E-mail to all Members of the Association giving a brief overview of the Activities which the Association was able to accomplish during the month of June 2021.

Cir No 35 / C-2 /2021 dated July 17, 2021 sent by E-mail to all Members of the Association informing them that the Southern Regional Office of the Association had a Meeting with well-known Dr Devi Shetty, Chairman, Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Bengaluru on July 14, 2021 and discussed the Precautionary measures to be taken and preparedness in the Textile and Garment Industry, in case of the expected Covid Third Wave arrives. The Suggestions received from Dr Shetty has been disseminated to all Members with a request to take the Suggestions in the right spirit and follow the same so as to protect themselves as well as their Employees / Workers in the eventuality of Third Wave arrives.

Cir No. 36/73rd NGF/2021 dated July 23, 2021 sent to all Dealers / Retailers including Platinum Members requesting them not to believe some unfounded and baseless Rumours going around that the 73rd National Garment Fair has been cancelled. We reiterated that the 73rd NGF is being held as per Schedule from August 2-5, 2021 and the Association has made appropriate arrangements to maintain Safety of all Visitors and also requested them to also ensure their Safety by following all the Norms and Protocols of Govt of Maharashtra.
