We reproduce below an e-mail dated 14th December 2022 received from the Investment Promotion Cell, Department of Handloom and Textiles, Government of Uttar Pradesh informing us that Government of Uttar Pradesh has notified the U.P. Textile and Garmenting Policy – 2022 effective from 17th October 2022. The policy has been formulated to promote Uttar Pradesh as a Textile & Apparel Manufacturing Hub.
The Policy offers various attractive and competitive Incentives such as Capital Subsidy & Interest Subsidy on Plant and Machinery, Land Cost Subsidy, Stamp Duty Exemption, Employment Generation Subsidy, Freight Reimbursement, and Electricity Duty Exemption etc. which will provide a conducive business environment to Textile and Apparel Industry.
