Dear Members,
As you are aware, recently, it has been reported that the Group of Ministers entrusted to study the Rationalization of GST Rates is likely to Recommend to the GST Council for a hike in the Rate in GST on Textiles and Apparels.
I would like to inform you that such increase would severely impact the Entire Apparel Industry , and as such, the Association has already initiated action to approach the various Government authorities as well as Media to express the concerns of our Industry.
In view of this, we have already started to pursue the matter on utmost priority, striving to make sure that the Government does not make any such policies that would have a strong negative impact on our industry.
I am pleased to report that the Media has extended strong support to our cause. I am enclosing herewith a Dossier which contains Media Coverage on the same.
We appreciate your trust in us, and will continue to work for the betterment of the industry. We are grateful to Media for giving us an extensive coverage on the issue.
