You are all aware of the grave crisis being faced by our Industry today. We can probably categorically say the Industry has not seen such conditions ever before – and unless the Government steps in to help, we are likely to see worse days ahead of us.

Mindful of the importance of Government assistance, CMAI has made representations at all levels of Government, including meeting Ministers, Bureaucrats, and other officials to convey our distress.

We are enclosing copies of our representations to the Hon. Prime Minister, the Finance Minister, and our own Textiles Minister.

We would like to assure you that we are doing our best and working hard to persuade the Government to announce some relief measures which may assist the Industry at least to some extent.

We shall keep you posted on any developments.
