TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION :
Dear Members,
As you are aware, CMAI has consistently expanded its Membership base across the Country, and is today acknowledged as a truly National Body representing the Garment Industry, especially in the Domestic Sector. It is certainly one of the oldest and largest Body representing the Sector.
With a view to further strengthen our reach and enhance our ability to service our Members, we are tying up with two leading Associations, who will provide our Members with additional support in their respective areas.
I am happy to inform you that we have signed MOUs with the following Associations, both extremely significant in their respective Regions –
1. GARMENT EXPORTERS ASSOCIATION OF RAJASTHAN (GEAR)
Although initially formed to cater to the growing body of Exporters of Rajasthan, particularly in Jaipur, GEAR’s Membership has increasingly turned to the Domestic market in addition to their traditional Exports. Today close to 80% of their Members would be operating in the Domestic sector directly or indirectly. They are a progressive, forward looking, and service oriented Association and will add tremendous value to our Members for any assistance required in Rajasthan.
GEAR is a 42 year old Association, and currently have over 275 Members.
2. APPAREL MANUFACTURERS SOCIETY OF INDORE (AMSI)
As you know Indore is one of the most Important Manufacturing centers of Madhya Pradesh, and also a significant player on the National scene especially in the Kids wear segment. Though only 6 years old, AMSI’s young leadership has been very active in development of Indore’s Garment industry, and has ambitious plans for improving the Technology, Productivity, and Progress of its Member manufacturers. CMAI’s CSR project of an Eye Camp in Indore was in collaboration with AMSI. Here too, CMAI Members will receive tremendous value for any assistance required in Indore.
Currently they have close to 170 Members, in both Exports and Domestic sectors.
I am confident both these affiliations will result in great value add to our Members.
