Dear Sir,

The Ministry of MSME has launched Udyam registration drive all over the country to register MSMEs on the Udyam portal. This will help any Micro, Small or Medium Enterprise in becoming eligible for availing benefits of schemes/ Programmes of this Ministry.

An Unregistered MSME misses out on several subsidies, benefits and Govt. Schemes, that are periodically announced and updated by Central and State Governments. Hence your Association advises all MSME Units to Register for the Udyam Certificate during the above mentioned drive. 

Some of the benefits available to a MSME with Registered Udyam Certificate in India are:

• Get Collateral Free Loans from Banks
• 50% Subsidy on Patent Registration for their business idea and process.
• Discount on Overdraft Interest Fee from any Bank or Financial Institution
• Industrial Promotion Subsidy Eligibility including subsidy for participating in business fairs, promotional campaigns and more.
• Protection Against Delayed Payments
• Subsidy on Electricity Bills under special cases
• Reimbursement of entire fees of ISO Certification to specified Registered MSMEs
• Extended Tax Benefits – Credit for minimum alternate tax (MAT) can be extended up to 15 years, instead of 10 years.
• Boost In Getting Govt. Tenders.

Brief Information on the Registration process is given below:

• The form for registration shall be as provided in the Udyam Registration portal. https://udyamregistration.gov.in
• There will be no fee for filing Udyam Registration.
• Aadhaar number and PAN number shall be required for Udyam Registration.
• The Aadhaar number shall be of the proprietor in the case of a proprietorship firm, of the Managing partner in the case of a partnership firm and of a Karta in the case of a Hindu Undivided Family (HUF).
• In case of a Company or a Limited Liability Partnership or a Cooperative Society or a Society or a Trust, the organisation or its authorised signatory shall provide its GSTIN and PAN along with its Aadhaar number.
• In case an enterprise is duly registered as an Udyam with PAN, any deficiency of information for previous years when it did not have PAN shall be filled up on self-declaration basis.
• No enterprise shall file more than one Udyam Registration: Provided that any number of activities including manufacturing or service or both may be specified or added in one Udyam Registration.
