Dear Member,

Our President Mr Rakesh Biyani and Chief Mentor had a meeting with the Hon’ble Minister for MSME Sector, Shri Nitin Gadkari on the problems faced by Garment Manufacturers and Retailers.

We are happy to inform you that Shri Gadkari immediately accepted our Suggestion to include Retailers under the definition of MSME, and the current provision debarring Retailers from the definition of MSME is likely to be reviewed.

Many practical difficulties of our manufacturing Members were also raised, which are captured in the attached letter to the Hon’ble Minister.
